NNAS assessments are arranged as required and when there
are enough persons
waiting to be assessed. Assessments are usually arranged
as a group but individuals
can be catered for but at additional cost. Please contact

we can help you gain NNAS Bronze certification.
Who for:- People who wish to gain the NNAS Bronze award. People attending this
event would
ideally have completed our “Navigator Level 1” course or
be at an equivalent standard.
On successful completion participants will be awarded the
NNAS Bronze Certificate.
What will be covered:-
- A short written / oral assessment which will include topics such as:-
- Contents of a map legend including scales.
- Grid references.
- Use of a compass.
- Walk safety.
- A practical assessment on your ability to navigate a simple line feature course on
open moorland which will include:-
- Using handrails and line features.
- Plotting and locating 6 figure grid references.
- Map orientation.
- Basic use of compass in conjunction with a map.
Method:- Short written / oral test followed by practical assessment.
Terrain:- 3 - 5 kilometres over semi rough open moorland.
Equipment:- All navigational equipment can be provided if requested.
Participants will need to bring suitable clothing and footwear
for outdoor work.
